My collection of X-rentals!

Yeah, this is it. All the big boxes you see here down in my basement is filled with swedish x-rentals, VHS and Betamax. I actually packed a suitcase full of tapes and took photos of some of the movies in one of the boxes.

My "new" betamax broke quite early so many of the betamax-tapes I haven't seen yet. And some I have no idea what it is. I found a philippino action-movie (something for Jack I guess!) from 1982 though, and one strange thai-movie... and a lot of COOL stuff.

The mission now is to take photos of as many of my x-rentals (at least the interesting ones, I'm not sure I want to "save" some old Smurf-collection on beta to the future) as possible and put here on the blog. I can't guarantee I will do it, but I will at least try.

Does it help if we request that you do so?

Patrick: Well, if you appreciate it I will try to do it... I was surprise to see how many fun movies there is in my collection :) A lot of the classic x-rentals that every collector has, but I guess some rare stuff to.

I am willing to bet that you have a lot of treasure hidden in those Betamax Tapes. It may be worth your while to find a studio that can transfer that stuff to DVD's...

Nick: Maybe, or I will try to do it myself somehow... but no idea how :)

The funniest thing is that I probably has a couple of movies with you in there somewhere :)

Of course it would be appreciated :)
I can't imagine how much fun you must have checking those boxes! I love going trough my boxes of VHS, and I doubt I have as much as you.

Ahh, we finally get to see your basement after having head about it for so long!! :D

I have no idea what that film you mentioned is but if it's the one we talked about at some stage then I'm all ecstatic! (but then again I usually am around old dusty tapes anyway).

Nick's idea of a studio doing it would be good... if you had lots of cash but I'm afraid it's way too expensive. Getting hooked up with a VCR and a DVD-recorder is all you need. Uh, and a Betamax player, obviously. Can you find one cheap? You live in a big city, it should be possible to find one. An ad in a local paper should do the trick.

Jack: I'm not sure which one we talked about, but it's not that one anyway.

This one I didn't have a clue that I owned, but the cover is nice and it will be up tomorrow. I heard it's a quite weak philippino-movie anyway.

And yes, the basement is a disappointment. I know. Looks like a place for trash ;)

The tape we talked about was THE IMPOSSIBLE KID (the FOR Y'UR HIGHT ONLY sequel).

Aha, yes of course! Weng Weng is for me such an international man of mystery that I tend to forget he's philippino :)

THE IMPOSSIBLE KID is a cool flick.
