Altin Çocuk signed by Cecilia Åkerfeldt!

Yes,  finally. This is the miniposter and DVD-cover signed by Cecilia Åkerfeldt, one of the leading ladies of this lovely Turkish Bond-rip off. Read my review here.

Cecilia was very nice and this is a piece of my collection I will treasure very deep.

Usually, I'm not into signed stuff from celebs (sorry Fred, LOL) but this is very cool cos it's such an obscure film/obscure country/obscure genre/obscure everything ... and an obscure actress!! Congrats!! Very cool indeed!!

Is she the blonde woman who sacrifices herself to help Altin escape? Did you do an official inteview with her?

Jack: Thanks :)

Jared: Yeah, she's the woman standing on the ice, with a rope around her neck.

We talked a lot, and I have enough for an article/interview - but we'll see what happens with that.

Kewl, I'll look forward to that if you do anything with it.
Did you get a photo with her?

Ninja Dixon said...

Not together with her, but I took some photos of her - posing with the DVD for example, signing the poster and stuff like that.

She was very, very friendly - and she really enjoys that old movie, and it makes me happy :)

Very cool stuff.Does she have a copy of the film too?

CJ Smythe: Yes, I gave her a DVD too - and I think this is will be the first time she sees the whole movie :)

Very nice of you to give her a copy of the dvd.She must've been pleasantly surprised that someone was interested in her only movie role, made in Istanbul, 44 years ago.

The other day I got a comment on my blog from a guy in the UK whose wife was in a Ron Kristoff movie in the Philippines 20 yrs ago. Her part was about 30 seconds and she had ONE line. She wanted to know if I knew how to get hold of the movie. LOL. Screw them big-ass celebs. This is were the fun is at!! xD

I agree Jack J.Lets reject the mainstream hollywood celebrities..lol.. It's the unknown/obcure/foreign ones that are the real deal.Take for instance, this Japanese tourist/actor?? who appeared in a Turkish comedy sci-fi movie called Japon Isi made in 1987 starring Kemal Sunal & Fatma Girik.Link below

You're both correct, because something like this is a lot more interesting and funnier than the "real" superstars. And I know I'm quite alone about stuff like this too :)

If you are reading this and haven't already bought yourself a copy of the Altin Cocuk dvd, you can(until the Onar site is back up again) buy it from either ebay or diabolik dvd, links below :-

I always get mine from eBay (that eBay seller is actually Onar).

Yep, that's right,Deathland is Onar.I like buying from ebay too, for some reason.I think he's sold about a dozen so far via ebay.Hopefully he'll sell a lot more.I'm hooked on his releases.I wouldn't mind if he released a dvd each month but that's wishful thinking.Hahaha!!!! I think he should release Cici Can next.

You can buy Altın Çocuk/Golden Boy from the ONAR Facebook page. Bill Barounis friends, film director Kunt Tulgar and film journalist Ali Murat Guven, are selling the remaining Onar stock and the money goes to Bill Barounis' widow, Julia Barounis and their daughter. Most Onar DVD's are still in stock. Use this link (you have to have a Facebook profile):
